Terms of Service

Last modified: 8 April 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating a Cloudbase account or using any part of the Cloudbase platform (including the website, mobile apps, Apple Watch app, and AltiReader desktop app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use Cloudbase.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Cloudbase is designed for licensed skydivers and skydiving students who hold a valid student rating or are actively training under a qualified instructor. By signing up, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Each person may only have one Cloudbase account. The information you provide when creating your account (including your name, licence details, and jump numbers) must be accurate and kept up to date. You must not share your account credentials or allow anyone else to access your account.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@getcloudbase.com.

4. Acceptable use

When using Cloudbase, you must not:

  • Post content that harasses, threatens, bullies, or endangers other users
  • Share false or misleading information about your jumps, qualifications, licence level, or experience
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the platform or extract data
  • Share your account or allow others to use it
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts, private data, or restricted areas of the platform
  • Interfere with or disrupt the platform, its servers, or connected networks
  • Use the platform for any purpose that violates applicable law or regulation

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.

5. Your data

You own your jump data. We use it to power your logbook, statistics, progression tracking, and social features such as the feed, leaderboards, and milestones. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. For full details on how we collect, store, and handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

6. User content

By posting content on Cloudbase (including photos, comments, posts, and profile information), you grant Cloudbase a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote that content within the platform and in connection with the Cloudbase service (for example, in milestone share cards or on dropzone pages). You retain full ownership of your content. You can delete your content at any time, and we will remove it from the platform within a reasonable timeframe.

You are responsible for any content you post. Do not post content that you do not have the right to share, or content that infringes on the intellectual property of others.

7. Privacy levels

Cloudbase gives you control over who can see your profile and activity. You can set your visibility to:

  • Public — your profile and activity are visible to everyone, including non-logged-in visitors
  • Followers — your profile and activity are visible only to people you have approved as followers
  • Private — your profile and activity are visible only to you

You must respect other users' privacy settings. Do not screenshot, copy, share, or republish another user's content that is set to followers-only or private without their explicit permission.

8. Burble integration

When you connect your Burble account to Cloudbase:

  • You authorise Cloudbase to access and store your jump records from Burble on your behalf
  • Your Burble credentials are encrypted at rest and are used solely for the purpose of syncing your jump data
  • You can disconnect your Burble account at any time, which immediately stops syncing and allows you to delete any previously synced data
  • Burble sync is available on all tiers, including the free tier

Cloudbase is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Burble Software Inc. The Burble integration is built and maintained independently by Cloudbase.

9. AI-powered features

When you opt in to AI-powered features (such as AI coaching or jump analysis):

  • Your jump data may be processed by third-party AI providers in order to generate insights and recommendations
  • Data is sent per-request and is not retained by the AI provider for model training purposes
  • You can disable AI features at any time through your Privacy Settings

Improving AI insights: To help us improve the quality of AI-generated insights over time, Cloudbase may also retain the anonymised jump data used to generate your insights. This is retained by Cloudbase (not the AI provider) and is used to refine our prompts — it is not used to train any AI model. You are opted in to this by default. You can opt out at any time by turning off Help improve AI insights in Privacy Settings. Opting out does not affect your ability to use AI-powered features.

AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and should not be treated as safety advice or a substitute for instruction from a qualified skydiving instructor.

10. Subscriptions and payments

Cloudbase offers free and paid subscription tiers. If you choose a paid plan:

  • All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Cloudbase never stores your card details directly
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your paid features will remain active until the end of your current billing period
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at hello@getcloudbase.com if you believe you are owed a refund

We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

11. Important safety disclaimers

Please read this section carefully. It concerns your safety.

  • Cloudbase is NOT a safety device. It is a logbook and social platform. Do not rely on Cloudbase or any of its features for decisions that affect your personal safety.
  • The Apple Watch app is NOT a certified altimeter and must not be used as a primary altitude reference during skydiving. It is a supplementary tool only. Always use a purpose-built, certified skydiving altimeter as your primary reference.
  • Cloudbase is NOT a replacement for a physical logbook. Many dropzones and national governing bodies require a physical logbook. Cloudbase is a digital supplement, not a substitute.
  • We make no guarantees about the accuracy of data. Jump data that is synced from Burble, imported from CSV files, read from altimeters, recorded by the Apple Watch, or calculated by the platform may contain errors. Always verify your data against your physical logbook, your dropzone's records, and official sources.
  • Always follow your dropzone's safety procedures and the regulations set by your national governing body (such as BPA, USPA, APF, or equivalent). Nothing in Cloudbase overrides or replaces those rules.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cloudbase and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the platform. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of data, loss of profits, personal injury, or property damage.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising from your use of Cloudbase is limited to the total amount you have paid to Cloudbase in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty pounds sterling (GBP 50), whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

13. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you request deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you can change your mind and reactivate it. After 30 days, your account and associated data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in behaviour that harms other users or the platform, or if we are required to do so by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before or at the time of suspension, unless doing so would compromise safety or legal obligations.

On termination, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email to the address associated with your account before the changes take effect. Continued use of Cloudbase after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may delete your account before they take effect.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of Cloudbase shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

16. Contact
